Justin Singh is a trial lawyer who specializes in complex intellectual property litigation for patents, trade secrets, and copyrights. Justin has extensive experience in all phases of litigation, from pre-filing analyses and damages modeling to trials and appeals. As counsel in over 15 trials, he has represented clients in a wide range of intellectual property areas, including medical devices, wireless and network technologies, computer software, and microprocessors.
Justin has a proven track record of obtaining successful results for clients in courts around the United States and in parallel proceedings in foreign jurisdictions in Europe and Asia. Among his notable achievements include obtaining a $765M jury verdict on behalf of a client to address trade secrets misappropriation and copyright infringement involving radio technology. Justin has also obtained several other eight- and nine-figure damages awards for clients in other patent and trade secrets cases.
Justin also advises clients on matters before the Patent and Trademark Office, contractual and licensing issues, and commercial legal strategy.
Before joining Avantech Law, Justin spent over 16 years handling intellectual property and technology litigation at Kirkland & Ellis, LLP, where he was also a partner. Justin also previously worked as a software developer at Northrop Grumman, where he designed and implemented custom software using database and web technology.
