Kate Quisenberry is a trial attorney focused on complex patent litigation, representing clients in U.S. District Courts and before the International Trade Commission (ITC). With a forward-thinking approach, she develops litigation strategies that deliver results in high-stakes disputes while aligning with clients' broader business goals.

Kate has secured significant outcomes for both plaintiffs and defendants. She played a key role in obtaining a $43 million jury verdict plus attorneys’ fees for The Chamberlain Group LLC against competitor Overhead Door in the Eastern District of Texas. She also helped achieve a complete summary judgment of noninfringement for a Fortune 10 consumer electronics company in the Northern District of California.

A central figure in trial preparation and execution, Kate regularly manages direct and cross-examinations, fact and expert depositions, and argues pretrial and dispositive motions. Her casework spans diverse technologies, including telecommunications, software, hardware, consumer products, and medical devices.

During law school, Kate served as Senior Articles Editor of the Baylor Law Review and earned the award for Best Oralist at the Catholic University of America’s Immigration Moot Court competition. Before law school, she taught fourth-grade math and science at Franklin Elementary in Houston.

No. 337-TA-1209E) - Represented The Chamberlain Group in an ITC enforcement action brought by competitor Overhead Door to enforce a prior ITC exclusion order relating to patents concerning communication and power saving technologies. Resolved with a favorable settlement following evidentiary hearing.
  • The Chamberlain Group LLC v. Overhead Door Corp. (E.D. Tex.) - Represented The Chamberlain Group in federal district court patent litigation against competitor Overhead Door relating to remote barrier operation technology. Won a $43.3 million jury verdict and a running royalty in addition to more than $1.1 million in attorneys' fees.
